Please call ahead to book your visit. To ensure that our team can assist you and give you the time and attention you deserve, please schedule your visit in advance.
Health screening. Please reschedule your visit if you are feeling unwell. For a list of symptoms, please see the Ontario Covid-19 self-assessment.
Masks mandatory. Masks mandates have been lifted for healthcare settings as of June 11. If you wish for your optometrist or a team member to wear a mask, please advise in advance.
Frames cleaned after every touch. Feel safe trying on glasses, as they are all sanitized with UV light after each touch. High touch surfaces are also cleaned between patients.

Myopia Control
Myopia or nearsightedness affects close to 1 in 7 people in the world. While nearsightedness varies from a little blurry to nearly blind, myopia is an eye condition that many people deal with on a day-to-day basis. Although some procedures are available to help adults correct their myopia, children face more challenges with myopia progression with very few options to stop the decline in visual acuity. Fortunately, Wink Eyecare offers multiple solutions that have high success rates in children and adults alike.
Orthokeratology (Ortho-K)
Ortho-K lenses are custom-designed contact lenses that are worn overnight. While asleep, the lenses gently reshape the cornea, the front surface of the eye, to correct refractive errors caused by nearsightedness so the user can see clearly without the need for glasses or contacts the following day after the lenses are removed in the morning. Ortho-K lenses are approved for use for all ages and all individuals with mild to moderate myopia (with or without mild astigmatism) and are a safe and gentle option for those not interested in surgical correction.
MiyoSmart for Glasses
MiyoSmart is an innovative eyeglass lens that was awarded the prestigious Grand Prize, Grand Award and Gold Medal at the 46th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, Switzerland. Its honeycomb lens design uses cutting edge technology to curb myopia progession. These lenses are suitable for patients ages 6-18yo and can be prescribed when the first sign of myopia appears and for as long as there are signs of progression. The MiyoSmart lens is impact-resistant, thin and lightweight with UV protection, ideal for young and active youth. The lens also has a low-maintenance multi-coating that is easy-to-clean, durable, water-repellent and anti-reflective.
MiSight 1-day Contact Lenses
The MiSight 1-day lens is for the correction of myopia ametropia and for slowing the progression of myopia in children. MiSight works similarly to standard corrective lenses that improve distance vision in nearsighted eyes, using ActivControl™ technology for myopia control. Because they are 1 day disposable lenses, they are a great choice for children and teens as they do not have to worry about caring for lenses, disinfecting them after use or losing a lens.
Atropine Eye Drops
Atropine drops are medicated prescription eye drops that contain an agent that dilates the pupil and relaxes eye muscles. In low doses, atropine has been shown to slow the development of myopia. For some time, atropine has had several uses in eye care, such as dilating pupils and treating lazy eye.
