Formerly called Oakville Place Eye Care, Dr. Chung and his associates expanded, relocated and rebranded as Wink Eyecare. Dr. Teddy Chung understands the challenges of wearing corrective eyewear, having worn glasses from the age of six. From glasses, contacts to laser surgery, he has experienced it all firsthand.
Dr. Chung is a graduate (cum laude) of Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. For his academic achievement and extracurricular involvement, he was awarded the Anonymous Alumni Scholarship and admitted to the Tomb & Key Society, Beta Sigma Kappa Honours Society and Gold Key Society.
In his spare time, Dr. Chung loves spending time with his four kids. He loves to play badminton, but not as much as he loves to read up on cars and dream about the convertible he will own one day!
Dr. Miranda Ho received her Bachelor of Science degree with Honours from the University of Toronto and further pursued a Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. She was admitted into the International Optometric Honour Society for her academic achievement for all four years of her professional schooling.
Dr. Ho was born and raised in the Toronto area and is now planting roots in Oakville with her family. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, sports and spending time with her family.
Dr. Rajveer Randhawa received his Optometry Bachelor of Science degree from Aston University in Birmingham, United Kingdom. He continued his optometric training through the pre-registration period at Bournemouth Hospital’s joint optometry and ophthalmology department, where he gained valuable experience in the co-management of glaucoma, retinopathy, inflammation and cataracts. In his spare time, he enjoys playing hockey, traveling with his wife, watching sports, and is a car enthusiast.
Dr. Yusuf Addo completed his Doctorate in Optometry at the New England College of Optometry in Boston. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree with honours in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University. Dr. Addo has a particular interest in ocular disease treatment, as well as the management of complex neurological, vascular and systemic conditions. He has a golden heart and is extremely patient and thorough, always ensuring his patients receive the best of optometric care and attention they deserve.
Dr. Niki Meleknia completed her Doctorate of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She graduated with Honours distinction and was admitted into the International Optometric Honour Society in recognition for her clinical and academic performance. She completed internships at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in West Palm and the Shanghai Eye and ENT hospital, which provided her with extensive knowledge in treatment of ocular disease. She enjoys interacting with patients of all ages and providing the best quality optometric care. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and spending time outdoors with friends and family.
Our optician Zahir has it all: the technical expertise to precisely cut lenses on-site using state-of-the art technology, together with an extremely pleasant and accommodating personality that's sure to put you at ease. He is a Registered Dispensing Optician and a Seneca graduate with eight years of experience in the field. And if you were to ask him what makes his day, he'd say it's "helping people see better."
Charlotte is warm, wonderful and welcoming to all our patients. She is a Registered Dispensing Optician and a graduate of Seneca College with over 10 years' experience in the optical industry. Always wanting to help, she volunteers for the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.
Monika is delightful and has an excellent bedside manner. From checking in patients to helping them find the right eyewear, she is very accommodating and attentive to patients’ needs and wants. She is a McMaster University graduate and is currently furthering her studies in the cognitive science of language field.
Selena is a kind and gentle soul who genuinely loves working with patients and brightening their day. She has a background in journalism and broadcasting, having graduated from the University of Toronto and Sheridan College. Selena grew up in Oakville and enjoys raising her young family in Burlington.
Michelle has worn glasses from the age of 13 and knows the struggles of finding the right eyewear. She has an effervescent personality and has developed a knack for picking the perfect pair of glasses. Michelle is a recent graduate in Human Resources from Ryerson University in Toronto.
Wendy has a cheerful and friendly demeanour, which immediately puts people at ease. She is always willing to go that extra mile for patients, from recalling, to checking in, to pretesting, to finding that perfect pair of glasses. Wendy started wearing glasses while attending McMaster University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming and keeping active.
Alanna is a bubbly and caring individual with a true passion to help others. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Sciences from Brock University and she is currently pursuing opportunities to further her studies in a health-related field. Alanna was born and raised in Burlington and has been wearing glasses since the age of 14, so she understands the importance of finding the right eyewear for youngsters and adults alike.
